The First Congo War

Maybe it's just a function of a weak and feeble mind
which can often try to integrate just a horrible event
in a mixture of individual historical tales of epic proportions.

And at the heart of the Congo
we can find the best example.
It Hundu against the Tutsis, the Hutus against the Nande,
and Hundu, Nande and Nyanga against Banyamelenge

But what is the cause of so much horror and struggle?

Historical animosities, bad blood and ethnic hatred, no doubt.

In fact, the pooled estimates of the total number of victims
the conflicts that came before, during and after the First War of Congo
may have approached the milestone of ten million dollars. This is a conflict that took place
with the weapons that were relatively underdeveloped by the demands of today.
But perhaps more alarming were the horrible episodes of sexual assault
that were perpetrated against a number of defenseless women and children. These assaults
have left an indelible image in a large number of people around the world and only appear

But it can be equally disturbing to know that the First Congo
The war was precipitated by the great genocide of Rwanda. In response
the wholesale slaughter, mass migration of Tutsis in Rwanda and Tutsi sympathizers
were massacred by Hutu neighbors across the border neighbor. The genocide finally ended in the government in eastern Zaire, was overthrown by the RPF.

Their efforts were thwarted, however, as the battles with the rival Hutus with the support of Zaire, who
had been satisfied with the dictatorial elements of the region to this chaos. In the end, the ousted
Rawanda Tutsi Zairian Tutsi RPF combined forces to overthrow Zaire's eastern region.

Very tragically, however, the nature and importance of the Congo War can only be understood in relation to the horrific violence that occurred
in what has typically been called the Second Congo War. Estimates of the total number of victims are generally believed to be about 5.4 million people.
Some people claim that the calamities generated by the war can be equal or may even exceed the legacy
horror that was caused by the two great world wars of the 20th century. In total, eight African countries were fighting in the Second Congo War.
